HARVERTA / TURNKEY SOLUTIONS

Soilless farming and hydroponic systems

Design that starts with a healthy root zone and extends across the facility. Harverta plans hydroponic growing infrastructure around crop needs and your operating conditions.

What is soilless farming?

Soilless farming covers methods that use water and nutrient solution or suitable growing media instead of field soil. In hydroponics, nutrients reach plant roots through a controlled solution. The method is chosen according to the crop, root structure, production cycle and maintenance requirements.

System selection starts with the crop

NFT and other hydroponic configurations do not deliver identical results for every need. Channel geometry, irrigation flow, pump capacity, filtration and cleaning access are assessed alongside crop and site conditions. We develop a suitable system rather than applying one standard layout everywhere.

Water quality, pH and EC monitoring

Source-water analysis provides the basis for nutrient solution preparation. pH and electrical conductivity measurements support water and nutrient management. Target ranges depend on the cultivar, growth stage and growing conditions. Monitoring is supported by instrument maintenance and operating procedures.

Water circulation and hygiene go together

Return lines, tanks, filters and dosing infrastructure are parts of one circuit. Design considers cleaning, root-zone monitoring, water-temperature needs and production during maintenance. Hygiene flows and equipment access support day-to-day operation.

What do we assess before installation?

We consider crop and cultivar, daily workflows, available space, water and energy infrastructure, capacity targets and market access together. Resource use and operating costs are evaluated per project. Fixed savings, production capacity or payback figures are not given without site-specific data.

Frequently asked questions

Is hydroponics the same as vertical farming?

No. Hydroponics describes the growing method; vertical farming describes the layered layout. A hydroponic system can operate on one level or in a multi-tier facility.

Why is water analysis necessary?

Source-water characteristics affect nutrient solution preparation and treatment requirements. Understanding water quality is necessary for system design and crop nutrition planning.
